The season

In Don Rohn's final season as head coach, Northampton won its fifth PIAA team title and its first PIAA team duals championship. The Kids scored 137.5 points at Hershey, the most in program history, and set a state record at the time with eight place winners.

Their only loss came against Ohio's St. Edward's, 32–18, at the Easton-Phillipsburg Duals, where they also beat Walsh Jesuit 41–21 and Connellsville 49–12. They won the Bethlehem Holiday Classic over Blair Academy and the Cedar Cliff Duals, beat Easton 29–21 on the road, and clinched the Mountain Valley Conference with a 34–15 win over Nazareth on Feb. 5.

Then they swept the postseason. Northampton took the District XI Duals (31–15 over Easton in the final), the District XI team title with six champions, and the Northeast Regional team title with four champions. At the PIAA team duals the Kids beat Dallastown and Upper Perkiomen, then Connellsville 30–19 in the final, clinched by Marty Limpar's technical fall at 171. At the state tournament Ryan McCallum won the 130-pound title, Jeff Ecklof and Tommy Rohn were runners-up, and five more Kids placed.

Coach Don Rohn finished 309–59 in 18 seasons at Northampton, with five state team titles, eight individual State Champions, and four PIAA Coach of the Year awards.
