Our Story
History, tradition, community.
Since 1945
Northampton Wrestling began in 1945. More than 80 seasons later, the program runs from kindergarten through varsity, and every Konkrete Kid comes through the same room, the same expectations, and the same black and orange.
Along the way the program has won 7 PIAA team titles, won 27 individual state titles, and earned 137 state medals, with a State Medalist every year since 1984. Eight head coaches have led the program, and 42 wrestlers have won 100 or more varsity matches.
What we believe
Our mission is to give young people a supportive, demanding place to grow as wrestlers and as responsible, resilient, respectful members of the community.
“I hope I’ll be seen as a guy who really cared about his athletes, as wanting to get every kid he coached to his next level.”
