Outright Lehigh Valley League title at 7–0 in Harry Wall's final season

Northampton went 7–0 in the Lehigh Valley League and won the title outright, finishing 8–5 overall. A 22–19 win over Emmaus on Feb. 3, after leading 22–11 with two bouts left, clinched at least a share of the title, and a 35–9 win over Whitehall on Feb. 10 made it outright. Other league wins included Lehighton 23–20, Stroudsburg 29–14, Catasauqua 36–12 and Palmerton 53–6.

Ralph McCandless (103), George Hummel (112) and Mike Ziatyk (154) won titles at the Christmas City Tournament, where the team placed second. Northampton also won the league sectional team title with four champions and sent seven wrestlers to districts.

It was Harry Wall's 26th and last season as head coach.
